Investigation Of Fatal Accident Continues

[UPDATED] Investigation continues after a fatal Christmas Day accident on the Bad River Reservation in the Town of Sanborn.

A head-on automobile accident killed the drivers of two vehicles traveling in opposite directions and left a passenger with serious injuries.

Authorities reported the accident occurring at 3:23 p.m. Those killed were Courtney Greene, 22, and William Jones, 21, both of Odanah.  32-year-old Tracy Bigboy, also of Odanah, was Green’s passenger and was treated and released from a hospital.

News outlets across the state incorrectly reported the accident as occuring on the Red Cliff Reservation, as the accident took place on the Bad River Reservation.

Investigation of the accident is ongoing.
