CTA Debuts New Scholarship For Region's Grads
A new opportunity is available to regional high school graduates this year, courtesy of the Chequamegon Theatre Association.
As part of the association's celebration of its fortieth season, the group is marking the milestone by honoring a theme of "Going Strong. Giving Back," according to Mary Jo Holzhaeuser, who works with the organization.
"We have dedicated the season to giving back to the Chequamegon Bay community, which has supported our organization so loyally for four decades," Holzhaeuser says in an announcement. "In that spirit, the CTA is proud to announce a brand new scholarship available to graduates of Ashland, Washburn, and Bayfield High Schools who have contributed their talents to the CTA."
Scholarship applicants must be pursuing post-secondary training in a theatre-related field and applicants do not need to be members of the Class of 2012.
For more information about the scholarship, visit http://www.ctatheatre.org, visit a high school guidance counselor, or contact Holzhaeuser via email for an application form and more details.
"Over the years, many area young people have shared their amazing talents with the CTA," Holzhaeuser's announcement says. "We are happy for this opportunity to return the favor by contributing to the education of a promising student in theatre arts. The deadline for applications is April 30, so don’t delay."
