Specimen Demo in Cable
While touring the collections room or exhibits of the Cable Natural History Museum, have you ever wondered how those specimens got there? How do you take a dead animal and make it come to life again? How is a skull cleaned and prepared? Stop by the Cable Natural History Museum to watch Naturalist Katie Connolly as she prepares specimens for the collections, from taxidermy to bone preservation and everything in between! This informal program allows the public to watch real specimen preparation as it happens. Stop by to observe any time between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on the first Saturday of every month in the Cable Natural History Museum Classroom.
