Chequamegon Food Co-op & Local Food

How can the Chequamegon Food Co-op better serve our local food system? A public forum will be presented by the Chequamegon Food Co-op tonight from 6pm-8pm at the Agriculture Energy and Resource Center (the former Ag Station) off State Farm Road near Ashland. This is a free event and refreshments will be provided. A panel discussion will feature Heidi Johnson, Chequamegon Food Co-op board member and chairperson of the Co-op's Farm Committee; Jason Fischbach, University of Wisconsin-Extension agricultural agent for Ashland and Bayfield counties; Sarah Jackson, the Chequamegon Food Co-op produce manager; and Alan Spaude-Filipczak, interim farm coordinator of the Chequamegon Foods Farm.
