Winter Animal Tracking Part 2

Event Dates: February 4, 2012 - 10:00am

Meet at the Cable Natural History Museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the second half of Winter Animal Tracking. Participants will carpool to areas within the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest in search of animal tracks such as: wolf, coyote, fox, fisher, bobcat, elk, and deer. Depending on the snow depth and location of tracks, tracking may be done on snowshoes over uneven terrain. A limited number of adult snowshoes are available for use from the Cable Natural History Museum for $4/adult pair. Participants must provide their own bag lunch. Dress accordingly for the weather. Registration is concurrent with Winter Animal Tracking: Part I.
