Finding Common Ground For The Common Good

The Ashland & Bayfield Counties League of Women Voters is proud to present a very timely event today.

Senator Bob Jauch and Senator Dale Schultz (R-Richland Center) have agreed to share their ideas about how to bridge the partisan divide so that the U.S. can move forward on its many pressing economic, social, and environmental issues.

Both have served in the State Legislature since 1982. As proud Wisconsinites, they feel that the genius of the "Wisconsin idea" is to listen for things around which we can unite, and to engage all the citizens in the process of governing. They believe that our best creative solutions come when we collaborate in a climate of hope and empowerment, not fear.

They will speak from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and then offer an hour for public discussion afterward. It will be held in the Auditorium of the Northern Great Lakes Visitors Center.
