Ice Safety Training

Apostle Islands National Lakeshore staff members conducted an ice rescue training on Jan 13. Participants learned how to do self-rescues and how to rescue others that fall through the ice, according to the national lakeshore. Employees from the U. S. Border Patrol, City of Washburn Fire Department, and game wardens from the Red Cliff tribe also participated in the training.
