Vocational business and office education students at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College Ashland will join Business Professionals of America members across the nation in activities to make the community aware of the importance of vocational business education during Business Professionals of America Week, Feb. 13 through Feb. 17.

The purpose of this celebration is to inform students, parents and community business leaders about the preparation and training for successful business careers that members of Business Professionals of America are receiving. Many of the activities planned by the WITC-Ashland Business Professionals of America chapter revolve around this year’s national theme Reach New Heights.

Business Professionals of America, with more than 2,800 chapters nationwide, is designed to contribute to the preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic and technological skills. Through its professional, financial, civic and social activities and projects, Business Professionals of America is developing today’s students into tomorrow’s business professionals.

Sheila Wilcox, Kaci Peterson and Angela Kerfoot (shown above) participated in WITC-Ashland’s recent health fair, where they promoted the Business Professionals of America organization and raised funds for state and national competitions.
