Lake Superior Circumnavigators Come To Ashland
On Sunday, Sept. 26 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Mike Link and Kate Crowley will be back in Ashland to discuss their circumnaviagation of Lake Superior on foot. The two retired naturalists and educators will be at the Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center to share stories of their adventure, which took them 1,600 miles through four states and provinces over the past five months.
Throughout their trek, Link and Crowley put together videos of their expedition and gave updates to followers of their journey on a Facebook page. Videos they put together along their trek are available for viewing through the YouTube video system, one of these, showing Link and Crowley's visit to Ashland last year, is shown here. Jim Cradford (jcradford) posts the videos to YouTube on his channel.
The mission of Full Circle Lake Superior is to bring attention, education and research to the Great Lakes and to promote healthy water quality and fresh water conservation now and for future generations.
